At the beginning of the century Romeo Maestri, who at the time was foreman of CGEs Special Purpose Department, founded the Company, that now carries his name.
As a result of his specific experience in manufacturing dies for small metal devices, he got initially the idea to manufacture various kinds of seals:
string safety seals, eyelets for butter pats, then seals for mills and post parcels - all deforming devices when opened.
At the start, the Companys Head office was in Milan in via Bergognone where, during the twenties, it continued to expand although still remaining a family concern. In fact, both Maestris wife and two children helped to run the Company
